Tele2 group of Sweden has reported a 2% year-on-year increase in total revenues in the first three months of 2022 to SEK6.74 billion (USD712 million). Domestic sales were up 1% at SEK5.36 billion, while there were also increases in Lithuania (up 12%), Latvia (5%) and Estonia (3%). Underlying EBITDA climbed 6% to SEK2.47 billion, while net profit rose from SEK865 million in Q1 2021 to SEK2.47 billion in the latest quarter thanks to gains from the recent disposal of the group’s 25% interest in T-Mobile Netherlands.
Tele2 had 7.36 million mobile subscriptions in Sweden and the Baltics at the end of March 2022, up from 7.19 million a year earlier, while its fixed broadband subscription total in Sweden rose from 916,000 to 931,000 in twelve months.
