19 Apr 2022

Horizon, the Ohio-based fibre ISP that is backed by Canadian private equity firm Novacap, has announced that it completed the acquisition of Consolidated Cooperative’s commercial fibre business on 31 March 2022. The strategic acquisition adds approximately 450 route miles of fibre to Horizon’s existing all-fibre network, further expanding its footprint north of Columbus, Ohio, through Delaware, Marion and Richland counties. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Going forward, Consolidated Cooperative says it will continue to provide electric service to its more than 16,000 members at 18,000 locations in central Ohio, in addition to providing propane, natural gas, and residential fibre internet services throughout the region.
