Vodafone UK extends 5G coverage to twelve more locations

12 Apr 2022

British mobile network operator (MNO) Vodafone UK has announced the switch-on of its 5G network in twelve new locations, those being: Coventry, Dursley, Golborne, Keynsham, Llantwit Major, Lydney, Redditch, Rickmansworth, South Lackenby, Thornbury, Watford and Wigan.

With the expansion said to have been carried out as part of a ‘network modernisation programme to improve the 4G and 5G experience for all its customers’, the MNO noted that that this programme will ultimately see it retire its 3G network in 2023 and replace coverage with strengthened 4G and 5G services, so customers across more parts of the country can access more reliable connectivity.
