Hong Kong-based CK Hutchison Group Telecom (CKHGT), which has operations in Europe and Asia, has reported total revenue of EUR10.08 billion (USD11.08 billion) for full-year 2021, down 1% year-on-year. EBITDA fell 13% to EUR5.43 billion, while profit attributable to shareholders dropped by 22% to EUR2.51 billion.
3 Group Europe, which includes businesses in the UK, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and Ireland, reported a 2% fall in revenues to EUR9.47 billion, while Hutchison Telecom Hong Kong Holdings (HTHKH), which covers Hong Kong and Macau, reported an 18% increase in sales to HKD5.39 billion (USD688 million).
Separately, the CK Hutchison Group has reported results for Hutchison Asia Telecom (HAT), which has operations in Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Total revenue dropped 4% to HKD8.79 billion while EBITDA was stable at HKD2.04 billion.
In operational terms, 3 Group Europe claimed 38.52 million mobile subscriptions at end-2021, HTHKH had 3.20 million and HAT had 56.19 million. There were also 2.9 million fixed broadband subscriptions at WINDTRE in Italy at the same date.
