16 Mar 2022

Chilean telecoms group Entel is looking for buyers for its fibre-optic network infrastructure, having previously announced plans to sell off its data centre business, Diario Financiero reports. The company has tasked BNP Paribas with finding a buyer for the network, which was valued at between USD300 million and USD500 million. According to Entel general manager Antonio Buchi, expressions of interest (EoIs) have been received and are being analysed. Regarding the sale of its data centre business – comprising data centres in Ciudad de los Valles, Amunategui, Nunoa, Pedro de Valdivia and Longovilo – Entel is expecting to raise around USD800 million from the sale, and is in negotiations with two remaining bidders, I Squared Capital and Macquarie Group.
