Searchlight considering Consolidated buyout

Searchlight Capital Partners is evaluating the possibility of acquiring the remainder of Consolidated Communications, it has been revealed. According to MarketWatch, in a joint filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Searchlight III CVL LP and Searchlight III CVL GP LLC have indicated that they are considering making additional purchases of Consolidated’s common stock and evaluating a full acquisition of the company.

According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Searchlight currently holds a 34.55% stake in Consolidated Communications, having concluded its initial two-stage investment in December 2021. The investment firm paid a total of USD425 million for its stake in the company.
