AT&T extends multi-gigabit FTTH to seven million people in 100 metro areas

11 Mar 2022

AT&T Communications has extended multi-gigabit fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) connectivity to more that seven million customer locations across its 21-state footprint. Residents in more than 100 metropolitan areas can now access the symmetrical 2Gbps and 5Gbps speeds. The 2Gbps package is priced at USD110 per month, while the 5Gbps service costs USD180 per month (tariffs exclude taxes).

The telco says it will continue to introduce multi-gig-capable technology across its existing fibre footprint throughout 2022 and seeks to cover 30 million customer locations by year-end 2025.
