Connexin demonstrates 2Gbps speeds for residential users

10 Mar 2022

IoT and digital infrastructure specialist Connexin, which in January 2022 confirmed the connection of the first customers to its new full fibre network in Hull and East Riding, has demonstrated downlink speeds of 2Gbps over its infrastructure. In a press release regarding the development the company said it had successfully trialled a new 2Gbps-capable plan at a residential property, while saying it now plans to make such speeds available on a commercial basis ‘shortly’.

Further speed increases could be on the cards, meanwhile, with Katie Muir, Connexin’s Fibre Product Lead, noting that the operator has already delivered speeds ‘in excess of 7Gbps’ in testing.
