An Italian administrative court has rejected an appeal by Telecom Italia (TIM) against a EUR116 million (USD130 million) fine which was imposed in 2020, Reuters reports. The fine was handed down in March that year after the Competition Authority (Autorita Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato, AGCM) ruled that the former monopoly had carried out a ‘premeditated anti-competitive strategy’ which hampered its rivals’ efforts to gain market share in the broadband sector.
