Telemach Croatia, a subsidiary of United Group, has received regulatory clearance to proceed with a buyout of the remaining shares of fixed line operator Optima Telekom which it does not own. Mobile services provider Telemach agreed to acquire a 54.31% stake in Optima in July 2021, going on to finalise the purchase in January. SeeNews now reports that Croatia’s financial services watchdog Hanfa has approved a move for Telemach to buy out other shareholders at a price of HRK5.36 (USD0.79) per share. Optima shares were trading at HRK5.24 each on Friday (25 February). United Group plans to launch a converged package of fixed and mobile services by combining the operations of Telemach and Optima.
