Frontier Communications has confirmed that its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network passed an additional 638,000 locations in 2021, taking the total number of homes passed to four million. Going forward, the telco expects to reach at least ten million locations with fibre by 2025.

Nick Jeffery, President and CEO of Frontier, commented: ‘The team rallied around our purpose of Building Gigabit America in March and spent the next nine months breaking our own records for building and selling fibre … Yesterday [22 February], we became the only major broadband provider to launch 2 Gig fibre service network-wide, extending our leadership position as customers demand faster speeds.’
