Verizon Communications has announced that it now provides plug-and-play ‘5G Home Internet’ and ‘5G Business Internet’ coverage to more than 30 million households and two million businesses. The telco notes that the expanded footprint represents an increase of ten million homes in the last month.
Rival operator T-Mobile US, meanwhile, has expanded access to its own ‘5G Home Internet’ service to 62 new cities and towns across Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. With this upgrade, the service is now an option for nearly four million homes in the area, and more than 30 million homes nationwide.
T-Mobile US recently disclosed that it ended December 2021 with 646,000 FWA subscriptions, while Verizon lagged behind, serving just 223,000 FWA users at end-2021.
