17 Feb 2022

Telia Lietuva will begin shutting down parts of its 3G network from 15 March, with a view to completing the process across Lithuania by the end of this year. The deactivation will begin next month in Utena, Moletai, Ignalina and Svencionys in eastern Lithuania, where 3G frequencies will be refarmed for improving 4G network coverage and capacity. The company plans to switch off the 3G connection gradually every two weeks in different districts and affected customers will be directly informed about the move at least one month before their 3G service is deactivated. The process will begin in the west during the summer, before reaching Suwalki, Dzukija and major cities in the autumn and concluding in the capital Vilnius in December.
