UK-based Vodafone Group has reported organic group service revenue growth of 2.7% for the quarter ended 31 December 2021 and said that ‘good performance in line with expectations’ for the three-month period means it is on track to meets its guidance for FY22. The carrier reported that service revenue for Q3 FY22 totalled EUR9.65 billion (USD10.9 billion), up from EUR9.36 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier, with its German operations accounted for EUR2.94 billion of the total (Q3 FY21: EUR2.91 billion). Vodafone Group’s consolidated turnover for Q3 FY22, meanwhile, stood at EUR11.68 billion, up from EUR11.21 billion a year earlier.
Commenting on the financial performance, Vodafone Group CEO Nick Read said: ‘Our team has delivered another solid quarter, demonstrating the sustainability of our growth strategy and medium-term ambition. This performance keeps us firmly on track to deliver FY22 results in line with the higher guidance we set out in November.’
With regards to operational indicators, Vodafone Group reported a total of 278.22 million mobile subscriptions as of 31 December 2021, up from 268.46 million a year earlier, while fixed broadband subscriptions across all of its subsidiaries increased to 24.82 million by end-2021 (Dec-20: 24.35 million).
