Sweden-based group Tele2 has reported a 2% rise in total revenues for full-year 2021 to SEK26.79 billion (USD2.86 billion). Sales for the fourth quarter rose by the same margin to SEK7.03 billion. Underlying EBITDA after lease rose 5% in 2021 to SEK9.64 billion, with a 1% increase to SEK2.37 billion reported for the final three months of the year. Net profit dropped from SEK7.41 billion in FY 2020 to SEK4.31 billion last year, with the fall mainly related to a one-off boost in Q4 2020 due to historical translation differences in Luxembourg.
At the end of 2021 Tele2 claimed 7.33 million mobile subscriptions, including 3.95 million in Sweden and 3.38 million across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. The Swedish business also claimed 927,000 fixed broadband subscriptions and 188,000 fixed voice connections.
