Hull-based KCOM has announced that its ‘Lightstream’-branded full fibre services are now available to order for more than 3,300 premises in Broughton, Barrow and Scawby Brook, following the completion of successful engineering works. In a press release regarding the development, the operator also revealed that it plans to make its infrastructure available to a further 2,500 premises in Crowle, Messingham and Epworth by the end of next month, while additional areas will be reached by the fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network in March 2022. Further, KCOM has called on the public to register their interest for services in locations which are not yet covered.

Commenting, John Rooney, KCOM Retail managing director, said: ‘By expanding our network to these communities across North Lincolnshire we are delivering one of the best, fastest and most reliable broadband services in the UK to thousands of more homes.’

According to KCOM, since the launch of GBP100 million (USD135 million) expansion programme in 2020, it has reached more than 20 new communities and 50,000 homes and businesses across North Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.
