WINDTRE mulls infrastructure separation

17 Jan 2022

Italian telco WINDTRE, which is part of the CK Hutchison group, is considering a spin-off of its infrastructure assets. A report from Bloomberg says the fixed and mobile operator has already held preliminary talks with Swedish investment firm EQT, though no deal has been struck and other potential investors could emerge. The network assets have been valued at up to EUR4 billion (USD4.6 billion). WINDTRE sold its mobile tower portfolio to Cellnex last year.
