US cableco Atlantic Broadband has been rebranded as Breezeline, after a recent acquisition extended the company’s geographic reach beyond its traditional east coast footprint. The company sealed its takeover of cable systems in Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio from Wide Open West (WOW!) in September 2021, expanding its serviceable footprint to more than 1.6 million households and businesses.
The new Breezeline name and logo were introduced to customers on 10 January, while the newly acquired Columbus and Cleveland operations (currently operating under the WOW! brand) will transition to Breezeline this summer. Going forward, the company has also divulged plans to deploy a new fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network passing 70,000 homes and businesses in New Hampshire and West Virginia.
Frank van der Post, President of Breezeline, commented: ‘We’re no longer just an east coast provider, and we’ve long offered much more than broadband, so our company identity must evolve with us. The name Breezeline marks the beginning of a new, exciting era of transforming our company through new growth, while also elevating the customer experience through enhanced customer care options, innovative products, and investment in the latest technologies.’
