The sale and purchase agreement – valued at EUR625 million (USD708 million) – was signed on 29 November 2021. The transaction was subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions, including the Hungarian competition authority’s clearance.
Serghei Bulgac, CEO of Digi Communications, commented: ‘Following 23 years of continuous development, Digi is handing over to the 4iG operator a competitive business with exceptional results, whose impact on the telecommunications market will be remembered for many years to come.’
