Belgian telecoms operator is moving to absorb its low-cost subsidiary Scarlet, 13 years after acquiring the fixed voice, broadband internet and mobile services provider, Data News cites a source from Proximus as saying. Scarlet, which was acquired by Proximus for EUR185 million (USD207.8 million) in November 2008, will no longer operate as separate company and will be fully merged into its parent, although the brand will remain and nothing will change for customers and employees.
