3 Dec 2021

US cable giant Comcast has acquired a pair of small-scale ISPs in Massachusetts, Fierce Telecom reports. First up, Braintree Electric Light Department (BELD) has sold its internet business to Comcast, noting that it does not have the scale to upgrade and maintain its network. The second deal involves Russell Municipal Cable TV in Springfield, Massachusetts. The city of Russell has owned and operated the service since 1988. Terms of the deals have not been disclosed.
