Baltcom completes takeover of Microlines

Latvian fixed broadband and TV provider Baltcom has completed its acquisition of Microlines Group, which comprises Microlines, Electrons.lv, Elektrons, Bit Telecom, QWERTY and Clouds 365. The value of the deal was not disclosed. Baltcom notes that the takeover strengthens its position in the eastern region of the country as Microlines is ‘one of the most significant and oldest regional operators’, adding that the group provides internet and TV services to customers in Rezekne, Ludza, Preili, Kraslava, Livani, Gulbene, Balvi, Cesis, Valka, Smiltene and other cities. Baltcom plans to continue the development of the Microlines Group, with improvements to network infrastructure and expanding the range of services offered to customers.
