Sweden opens local 5G licensing

The Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (Post & Telestyrelsen, PTS) has opened applications for local 5G licences in parts of the 3.7GHz (3760MHz-3800MHz) and 26GHz (24.25GHz-25.1GHz) bands. The regulator says the permits will be suitable for use cases such as industry, mining, ports, warehouses and hospitals. Nationwide 5G permits in the 2.3GHz and 3.5GHz bands were auctioned in January 2021.
