Comcast unveils 3Gbps broadband plan

US cable giant Comcast (Xfinity) has launched a symmetrical 3Gbps broadband plan, which is understood to be the fastest residential connection available in the US market. The ‘Gigabit Pro’ package is priced at USD299.95 per month as part of a two-year agreement. The cableco’s website notes: ‘Restrictions apply. Not available in all areas. New residential customers only.’
