Paris-based telecoms company Iliad Group has published its financial results for the nine months ended 30 September 2021, reporting a 34.0% increase in its consolidated revenues to EUR5.633 billion (USD6.4 billion) from EUR4.205 billion in 9M 2020, with its operations in France generating EUR3.849 billion (up 3.3% year-on-year), while its Italian unit contributed revenue of EUR590 million by September 2021. Newly acquired unit Play in Poland, meanwhile, generated revenues of EUR1.203 billion in the nine months under review.
In operational terms, Iliad Group’s mobile customer base in its domestic market reached 13.486 million subscriptions by 30 September 2021, up from 13.345 million in June 2021. In Italy, Iliad reported a total of 8.165 million mobile subscriptions at end-September, up from 7.820 million quarter-on-quarter, while Poland had a total of 12.087 million subscriptions at September 2021 (12.019 million in June 2021). The number of broadband subscriptions in France, meanwhile, reached 6.857 million, with fibre users standing at 3.546 million (3.318 million in 2Q21). The number of connectable fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) nodes, meanwhile, reached 24.000 million (22.700 million at mid-2021), with a target to cover 30 million by 2022.
