Vodafone CR: 5G network now available to more than 50% of Czech population

Mobile network operator (MNO) Vodafone Czech Republic has disclosed that it now covers more than 50% of the population with its 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) network, which was launched in October 2020. As well as serving major urban centres such as Prague, Brno and Ostrava, the MNO has also deployed cell sites in hundreds of cities and towns, including Prostejov, Domazlice, Breclav, Karvina and Cesky Tesin. In addition, Vodafone also offers 5G services in almost all stations and adjacent tunnels of the Prague metro. In total, the company claims coverage in at least part of 252 cities/towns and ‘hundreds of smaller municipalities’ across the country.
