AzTelekom deploys fibre broadband in Shusha

9 Nov 2021

State-owned operator AzTelekom has begun providing fibre broadband services in Shusha, a city in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The company has announced residents and businesses in the city can now access minimum download speeds of 30Mbps following deployment of a GPON-based optical network. The operator and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (Mincom) note they remain committed to taking all necessary measures to ensure stable and uninterrupted telecom services in areas reclaimed by Azeri forces during the military conflict with Armenia in late 2020.
