5 Nov 2021

Turkish mobile and fixed network operator Turkcell reported TRY9.354 billion (USD964 million) in consolidated group revenues in the third quarter of 2021, rising 22.3% year-on-year, driven by subscription base growth, increased data and digital services revenues as well as contributions from overseas operations in Ukraine, Belarus and Northern Cyprus, growth at its ‘Techfin’ division and higher equipment sales. EBITDA climbed 18.7% y-o-y in the three months to end-September 2021, reaching TRY4.030 billion, while quarterly operating income (EBIT) grew 17.8% to TRY2.212 billion and Q3 net income rose 18.0% to an all-time quarterly high of TRY1.429 billion, mainly attributed to ‘robust operational performance and disciplined financial risk management’.
