Swedish ISP Bredband2 has acquired around 20,000 fibre customers from local operator TH1NG in a deal worth SEK20 million (USD2.3 million). The transaction will also see Bredband2 pay SEK10.4 million to take 36,000 IoT platform licences from TH1NG. In addition, the two firms have signed a wider agreement to collaborate on M2M and smart property services.

Klas Westholm, CEO of TH1NG, commented: ‘We are very happy about this collaboration which gives us the opportunity to cross-sell our services to Bredband2’s over 450,000 customers. With the sale of private customers, we can focus more on supporting our partners in this segment … This also gives us the opportunity to focus on the corporate market within IoT and the internet.’
