Claro Brasil and TIM Brasil have both launched gigabit-capable fixed broadband plans, TeleTime reports. As per the telecoms news site, both upgrades went live yesterday (20 October). Claro’s 1Gbps package is priced at BRL399.99 (USD71.71) per month and has been made available in 300 cities across the country. Meanwhile, TIM Brasil’s new product is said to be available in the 33 cities where it currently offers fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) coverage. TIM’s package is priced at an introductory monthly rate of BRL193.80.
