Play introduces gigabit services in three regions

Polish telco Play has launched gigabit fibre services for customers in selected areas. The operator is using infrastructure deployed by wholesale provider Fiberhost under the government-subsidised Operational Programme Digital Poland. Services are initially available in the regions of Wielkopolskie, Lubelskie and Mazowieckie, covering both cities and smaller towns. Pricing for a 1Gbps package starts at PLN75 (USD19) a month including maintenance fees on a 24-month contract.
