Orange Poland completes latest phase of 2100MHz refarming

Orange Poland has completed the refarming of 15MHz of 2100MHz spectrum to boost its 4G services. The firm says that during peak times download speeds on its LTE network are now 5Mbps faster, with 50MHz of spectrum being utilised to support 4G services. 2100MHz frequencies are still being used for 3G connectivity at 475 base stations in certain areas such as those without 900MHz UMTS coverage and at a number of tourist sites.
