Monty Mobile investing in Comium Gambia

UK-headquartered mobile VAS solutions provider Monty Mobile has invested in struggling cellco Comium Gambia, reports Gambian newspaper The Voice. Comium – which had its services suspended for a month on 5 October for non-payment of dues – declared at a press conference that Monty Mobile was willing to clear all of its debts to allow the suspension to be lifted and furthermore to assist the operator in developing its services going forward.

Monty Mobile was founded in 1998 and positions itself as a leading VAS and telecom solutions provider and an international SMS wholesale intermediary hub, working with worldwide mobile operators, aggregators and enterprises to facilitate the international flow of voice/SMS across global markets. Monty Mobile’s portfolio also includes a range of Fintech, Data Monetisation, IoT and Mobile Advertising solutions.
