AzTelekom, Baktelecom reduce broadband prices

Azerbaijan state-owned operators AzTelekom and Baku Telephone Communication (Baktelecom) have reduced monthly subscription prices for their ADSL broadband packages by around 35% while increasing download speeds, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has announced. The companies have also lowered the tariffs for services provided using GPON technology. The Ministry noted the price cuts, made on the eve of the new school year, were intended ‘to expand the use of internet technologies and meet demand for telecommunications services in accordance with modern requirements’.
