Luxembourg cable operator Eltrona has announced the launch of its ‘TV+’ IPTV service based on a turnkey technology platform supplied by Ocilion. The new service, which includes a 4K set-top box, offers more than 100 channels, catch-up TV, an integrated video library, recordings and interactive functions such as time-shifted TV. Customers can also access content on the TV+ app using a tablet and smartphone. Prices start at EUR21.99 (USD25.79) a month for the basic option enabling up to 40 hours of recording and the ability to watch content simultaneously on two devices.
Paul Denzle, CEO of Eltrona Interdiffusion, said: ‘We are delighted to be able to provide our clients with the latest technology in television offerings on a national ultra-high-speed network. If technology has been at the core of our developments to provide a quality service, this is above all a new experience which caters to new TV habits, service and customer satisfaction that have been at the heart of our thinking.’
Eltrona’s cable networks cover around 85% of households in the country and offer download speeds of up to 1Gbps.
