13 Sep 2021

Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved the latest plan of measures for the development of broadband internet access for 2021-2022 including the main tasks of state policy in the field of digital infrastructure development, problems and directions for their solution in that time period. As reported by Liga.net, the plan provides for the connection of 6,000 social infrastructure institutions to fixed broadband internet in Q4 2021, while in Q1 2022 the government plans to launch the broadband.gov.ua platform tracking the status of broadband access developments, aimed at enabling ‘transparent procurement in the telecommunications sector’. The authors of the initiative expect that the implementation of the plan will support the provision of access to high speed mobile and broadband internet for 95% of the population of Ukraine.
