Telenor Norge introduces new 5G fixed-wireless plans with higher speeds

25 Aug 2021

Telenor Norge has announced it is increasing the maximum speeds available for its 5G-based fixed-wireless service, ‘Tradlost Bredband’ (‘Wireless Broadband’), with the introduction of a new top-tier plan providing downlink rates of up to 500Mbps. This new plan costs NOK1,249 (USD141) per month, while the operator has also launched two other plans at speeds higher than the previous peak of 100Mbps, with these providing connectivity at 200Mbps (NOK849 per month) and 300Mbps (NOK999) respectively.

Meanwhile, Telenor Norge has reduced the cost of two of its existing Tradlost Bredband plans, with what was previously its top-end tariff offering speeds of 100Mbps in a 5G coverage area having been reduced from NOK999 per month to NOK749 per month. For those within the company’s 4G network footprint, the top-tier plan offering download speeds of 60Mbps has also been reduced to NOK749 per month, having previously been priced at NOK799 per month.
