PPF Telecom reports rising revenue, profits in 1H21

Netherlands-based PPF Group’s telecommunications division PPF Telecom Group, which contains its operations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro, has reported increased sales, operating income and net profits for the six months ended 30 June 2021. The Group recorded consolidated revenues of EUR1.613 billion (USD1.895 billion) in the period under review, up from EUR1.545 billion in 1H20, as operating profit rose 10.9% to EUR375 million from EUR338 million, pre-tax profit climbed to EUR316 million from EUR275 million and net profit attributable to the owners of the company rose by EUR32 million to EUR251 million. Group CAPEX for January-June 2021 stood at EUR192 million compared to EUR252 million in the corresponding year-ago period.

In terms of revenue breakdown, PPF reported that its Czech operation contributed around EUR651 million, followed by Hungary (EUR258 million), Serbia and Montenegro (EUR212 million combined), Bulgaria (EUR202 million) and Slovakia (EUR156 million).
