Telekom upgrades broadband speeds for 268,000 homes

Telekom Deutschland (TD), the domestic operating unit of Deutsche Telekom (DT), upgraded fixed broadband speeds for an additional 268,000 households in July. The firm says that a total of 34.3 million homes can now access maximum data rates of up to 100Mbps and the number of 250Mbps-enabled lines has reached 26.1 million nationwide. In addition, TD states that the total number of households connected to its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network rose by 85,000 in July 2021, to over 2.5 million, enabling maximum speeds of up to 1Gbps.
