SBB to add two more cities to GIGA footprint

18 Aug 2021

Serbian ISP SBB has announced plans to extend its ‘GIGA’-branded fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network to two more cities, Vrsac and Kraljevo. Work on the upgrade is set to start in September and, once complete, will enable customers within the network’s footprint to utilise download speeds of up to 1Gbps. Existing customers in those locations will have their plans upgraded automatically and for free, with SBB noting that users signed up to its EON Light package will have their data transfer rates doubled from 75Mbps to 150Mbps, whilst those on its EON Full and EON Premium plans will have their speeds bolstered from 150Mbps to 250Mbps, and 300Mbps to 500Mbps, respectively.
