Paris-based telecoms company Iliad Group has published its unaudited financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2021, reporting a 33.7% increase in its consolidated revenues to EUR3.722 billion (USD4.4 billion) from EUR2.784 billion in H1 2020, with its operations in France generating EUR2.542 billion (up 2.7% year-on-year), while its Italian unit contributed revenue of EUR383 million by mid-2021. Newly acquired unit Play in Poland, meanwhile, generated revenues of EUR801 million in the six months under review. EBITDAaL in H1 2021 was EUR1.398 billion, up 59.5% y-o-y (broken down as EUR1.019 billion in France, EUR6 million in Italy and EUR373 million in Poland), while profit for the period reached EUR579 million (EUR218 million in 1H20).
In operational terms, Iliad Group’s mobile customer base in its domestic market reached 13.345 million subscribers by 30 June 2021, down from 13.382 million in 1Q21. In Italy, Iliad reported a total of 6.812 million mobile users at end-June, up from 6.765 million quarter-on-quarter. The number of broadband subscribers in France, meanwhile, reached 6.812 million, with fibre users standing at 3.318 million (3.071 million in 1Q21). The number of connectable fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) nodes, meanwhile, reached 22.700 million (21.100 million at end-March 2021), with a target to cover 30 million by 2022.
