Santa Catarina-based Unifique – Brazil’s seventh largest ISP in terms of subscribers – has generated a total of BRL818.07 million (USD157.55 million) from its initial public offering (IPO). Shares were sold via the B3 stock exchange in Sao Paulo, under the ‘FIQE3’ ticker symbol. Shares were priced at BRL8.60 apiece – at the lower-end of the previously published indicative price range (BRL8.41-BRL10.49). XP, BTG Pactual and Itau BBA acted as the IPO coordinators.
TeleGeography notes that Unifique is the latest mid-sized Brazilian ISP to pursue an IPO. Last week Desktop Sigmanet successfully staged its own listing, generating total funds of BRL715.22 million. Meanwhile, Brisanet will launch its own IPO on 29 July. The latter – Brazil’s fifth-largest ISP by subscribers – hopes to generate proceeds or around BRL1.5 billion.
