Globe Telecom has announced that in the first six months of this year it deployed 212 new cell sites in the National Capital Region (NCR, aka Metro Manila), with the company’s senior vice president for Program Delivery-Network Technical Group, Joel Agustin, noting: ‘These installations will definitely boost mobile experience not only in Metro Manila but in nearby provinces as well’. The telco reportedly built more than 39 towers in Cavite province, 26 new sites in Rizal and 25 new cell sites in Batangas and Laguna. Further, 17 new cell sites were built in Cebu, Bulacan and Pampanga. ABS-CBN News quotes Agustin as saying that new cell sites are also being rolled out in Visayas and Mindanao.
