Danish telco Telenor has signed a wholesale agreement to provide services on the Onefiber network via the OpenNet platform, thus gaining access to an additional 100,000 premises in the medium-term. Telenor CEO Lars Thomsen said that over a million Danes can access MaxSpeed-branded fibre from Telenor, and the agreement with Onefiber further increases Telenor’s footprint in the market. Onefiber is a GlobalConnect brand and currently supplies fibre to more than 7,000 homes; the company aims to treble the footprint before the end of 2021. Internet from Telenor’s MaxSpeed, meanwhile, is expected to be available to customers on Onefiber’s network in Q3 2021.
