Telenor partners with Wateen to connect towers with fibre

Norwegian-owned cellco Telenor Pakistan has partnered with ISP Wateen Telecom to connect 700 of its cell sites with fibre infrastructure to meet growing demands for bandwidth. Local daily The News International writes that, under the agreement, Wateen will provide capacity for Telenor’s sites across twelve major cities. Wateen Telecom CEO Adil Rashid said of the deal: ‘Wateen is proud to align its vision with Telenor Pakistan, once again. This latest collaboration will ensure our partner’s customers get the best network experience in every aspect of daily life, whether at home or on the move.’
