9 Jul 2021

Irish ISP Viatel has announced the takeover of Cork-based B2B voice/data provider Nova Telecom. Viatel says that the deal represents the company’s third notable acquisition in the last nine months, following the takeovers of Ripplecom (October 2020) and Irish Telecom (December 2020). The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The newly expanded Viatel Group now serves over 4,200 businesses across Ireland alongside 30,000 residential customers, which are served under the Digiweb brand.
