Cosmote of Greece says its 5G network now offers 50% population coverage, seven months ahead of its target date. The telco launched 5G services in Athens and Thessaloniki in December and had reached 17 cities by March. Its current footprint takes in 29 cities and islands, with population coverage in Athens and Thessaloniki exceeding 90%. The firm has revised its end-year 5G coverage target to 60%. 5G services are available to any Cosmote customer with a compatible handset at no additional cost.
