M-net fibre networks reach 790,000 homes; FY revenue up 5%

Regional operator M-net has revealed that its fibre-optic (FTTx) networks passed 790,000 households and businesses in Bavaria at the end of 2020, an increase of 2.6% from 770,000 a year earlier. Direct fibre (FTTH/B) connections accounted for roughly 70% of the most recent total. M-net reported that it supplied around 503,000 customers with internet, telephony or TV services as of 31 December 2020, up from approximately 490,000 twelve months previously. The company, which is a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Munchen (SWM), posted revenue of EUR272 million (USD331 million) for the twelve months ended 31 December 2020, a rise of 4.6% from EUR260 million in 2019.
