One of the UK’s nascent deployers of full fibre infrastructure, Zzoomm, has named the next locations where it will roll out its network. In separate press releases, the company confirmed firstly that it is extending its reach to more than 52,000 homes and businesses in Crewe, with construction work in the town to get underway this year. Meanwhile, Zzzoomm also confirmed its intention to roll out its fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network in Cannock in Staffordshire, where it aims to pass 37,000 premises.
As previously reported by CommsUpdate, Zzoom made its initial foray into the market in January 2020, at that date announcing the switch-on of its FTTP network in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. With the company having subsequently announced plans for deployments in Hereford, Ascot and Thirsk, it has ultimately set itself the target of passing more than one million premises by 2025, with a focus on underserved towns and suburban areas across the UK.
