Italian ISP Tiscali has extended the availability of its 100Mbps fixed-wireless access (FWA) services under a wholesale agreement signed with rival operator Linkem in June 2019. Tiscali had already been offering FWA connectivity via the infrastructure of another operator, Fastweb. Mondo Mobile Web reports that the TD-LTE infrastructure of Linkem gives Tiscali a footprint of 13 million homes across Italy. Earlier this year Linkem upgraded its FWA networks to boost peak speeds from 30Mbps to 100Mbps. An unlimited monthly broadband package with 100Mbps peak speed costs EUR26.95 (USD32.7) at Tiscali, with the one-off activation fee reduced from EUR99 to EUR30 under an ongoing promotion.
